Hosting this event for a second year allowed us to again support this organization and their mission of providing life-saving transport and care of critically ill children in South Florida, parts of South America and the Caribbean.

MIAMI, FL – CIT Aerospace, a global leader in aircraft finance, with support from 26 participating companies, raised more than $120,000 to support Miami Children’s Hospital LifeFlight® program during its second annual CIT Aerospace Golf Invitational held at the Diplomat Tennis and Golf Club. LifeFlight® provides transport of critically ill children throughout South Florida and the Caribbean.

“We’re inspired by the dedication and hard work of the teams at LifeFlight and Miami Children’s Hospital,” said Jeff Knittel, President of CIT Transportation and International Finance. “Hosting this event for a second year allowed us to again support this organization and their mission of providing life-saving transport and care of critically ill children in South Florida, parts of South America and the Caribbean.”

Lucy Morillo, Esq., President and CEO of Miami Children's Health Foundation, said, “On behalf of the children and families that depend on Miami Children's Hospital, we’re incredibly grateful to all who participated and donated to this worthwhile cause.”

Kenneth Patino, Program Director of LifeFlight®, said, “CIT understands what it means to give back to the organizations that provide support and resources to families in need throughout the year. Funds from last year’s event went toward acquiring a new ambulance for Miami Children’s Hospital LifeFlight fleet, which has already been involved in more than 225 life-saving missions. This critical care that we provide has elevated Miami Children’s Hospital’s LifeFlight Program to be recognized nationally for excellence in emergency and critical care medicine. We’re grateful for the continued support of CIT Aerospace and other benefactors.”

The following companies donated funds or gifts in kind to benefit LifeFlight: Aeronautical Systems, Aero Turbine, Airbus, Alaris, Atlas Air, Bank of Utah, Boeing, Bombardier, Brickell Motors, Broward Aviation Services, Commercial Jet, CIT, Embraer, Fafinski Mark and Johnson P.A., GE Aviation, INAV Group, Inc., Intertrade, Jet Aviation, Jet Support Services, Inc., Landing Gear Technologies, Moore & Van Allen LLC, NBAA, PHI Air Medical, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, Spirit Airlines and Werner Aero.
