Local bankers, Michael Fleming and Scott Kraemer, to lead First Citizens in the Wisconsin market

RALEIGH, N.C. — First Citizens Bank announced that its Securant Bank division based in Milwaukee, Wis., has completed its conversion to First Citizens' operations and systems.

"Now that we've successfully completed this transition, our Securant Bank customers have access to the full array of First Citizens' products and offerings and 14 locations in Southeastern Wisconsin," said Frank B. Holding Jr., chairman and CEO of First Citizens Bank. "We look forward to further serving the people and companies in the community; enhancing our business and commercial focus; and building on the tremendous foundation that's in place in the market."

The transition of the Securant Bank division to First Citizens Bank follows completion of a conversion that puts both banks on the same operational and technical systems and aligns customer accounts to First Citizens products and services.

Effective today (Monday, March 11), signs at the former Securant Bank division branches now carry the First Citizens Bank name.

Leading First Citizens' banking efforts in Wisconsin are two executives with longstanding ties to the community:

  • Michael Fleming, an 11-year veteran of Securant Bank with 38 years in the market, has been named Area Executive for the bank's Wisconsin retail and business banking segments. He brings a strong background and experience in retail, mortgage and business banking to his new leadership role.
  • Scott Kraemer, with more than 38 years of experience in Southeastern Wisconsin, joined First Citizens last year and leads the company's commercial banking efforts and banker sales support in the market. Before joining First Citizens, Kraemer served as regional business sales manager at BMO Harris Bank in Wisconsin.

"Both Scott and Mike are well-known and experienced banking leaders in the community who have deep local connections, market knowledge and expertise building collaborative teams and developing customer loyalty," said Chris Young, regional executive for First Citizens. "They bring a local, personal touch and understanding as we expand our product offerings and services, and we're thrilled to have them leading our teams in Wisconsin."

The completed conversion enhances First Citizens' operations in the Southeastern Wisconsin area. The conversion adds the four Securant Bank division branches to the 10 locations currently operated by First Citizens Bank in the market. The former Securant offices are located in Hartland, Milwaukee, Menomonee Falls and Slinger.

In addition to branch locations, customers can conduct banking services at any location in First Citizens' 19-state branch network, through First Citizens Digital Banking (online and mobile), by ATM and telephone. Information detailing the conversion and transition to First Citizens Bank was mailed to Securant Bank customers in February.
